Free-to-play RPG with linear missions, light character progression, and optional microtransactions for casual adventurers
Dungeon Hunter 5 is a role playing game that is entirely free to play, but like most games in that genre, it includes a number of in-game micro-transactions that encourage the player to spend real-world currency. Such spending is unnecessary to enjoy the game, which is based on the same mission style as many similar games. A linear storyline progresses the player through different missions, but all the missions require similar solutions. Just like most RPGs, there is an element of character development that can be achieved by picking up items and creating new equipment. There are even elemental components to many weapons and armor.
